G’day, mates! Greetings from the Land Down Under. I’m sure you’re here to read about Australia, so click on the links below to find what you’re looking for. I can be reached by email at my usual Colorado address (if you don’t know what it is, you probably shouldn’t be emailing me *grin*). .
Pictures are being posted at http://www.pbase.com/mestaben/australia. I’ll try to keep the pictures correlated with the text, but who knows how well I’ll do?
-Michelle, a.k.a. Staben, a.k.a. Blondie, among other things
Notes:
Dates are based on the Eastern time zone of Australia, which is a day ahead but 8 hours behind the Eastern US time zone.
This time zone approximation is going to go all to heck when we leave daylight savings, but the US doesn’t go on it for another month. (01 April 2004)
Final time zone differences were 10 hours behind the Eastern US but a day ahead, when Daylight Savings Time is in effect in US but not in Australia. (25 May 2004)
Updates:
Second page added 29 January 2004, with links to first set of pix put up on Pbase (address above).
04 February 2004: I added captions to most pictures that I’ve posted (even the ones I put up before). (Grandpa, there are names now, too.)

A PREVIEW OF COMING ATTRACTIONS! See pictures of majestic landscapes and thundering waterfalls. Read stories of long hikes and car troubles in the wilds of Tasmania. Be amused by the silliness that I decide to write. J
Okay, so I PROMISE to post my stories and pix from my week-long vacation to Tasmania and South Australia in the near future (read: when I finish my quarterly progress report for school and have some time to do other writing/editing) sometime soon. I know that you, my loyal readers, are waiting with baited breath to hear of my travels. Don’t worry, I’ll have heaps more stuff posted soon. (14 April 2004)
